Aktivitetshuset is a place with lots of possibilities for everybody, to connect, recharge and enjoy. A meeting place that offers many spare time activities, events and homemade food.
Aktivitetshuset has a wide offer that is open to everyone, while IKEA co-workers, IKEA retirees club “Vuxenklubben” and their families enjoy some extra perks.
Here you can meet and spend time together over a cup of coffee, eat lunch or dinner at our restaurant, fika and hang out with friends, play table tennis or shuffle board and enjoy our workshops or public events.
As an IKEA co-worker, you also get to work out at the gym, participate in our on-site or online workouts & talks, have fun in Multihallen or join any of our leisure activities groups. We have something for everybody!
Our restaurant and café, as well as many of our workshops and events are public and open to anyone who wants to join us, not only IKEA co-workers!
The IKEA Personalstiftelse is the owner of Aktivitetshuset, and it’s run by co-workers from IKEA Älmhult AB. The IKEA Personalstiftelse was founded in 1990 and the very first Aktivitetshuset opened in January 1991. This was located where IKEA Components is today.
Our main purpose is to offer leisure and wellness activities for IKEA co-workers and their families. Multihallen is a multi-sports facility that opened in February 2011. We also offer a squash court, a gym and a relax area with sauna and jacuzzi that you can book through our booking system..
Aktivitetshuset moved to the current facilities in 2001 and has since then gone through a couple of changes to become the attractive and functional wellbeing hub we are today.
