Prioritized target groups
Applications from associations focusing mainly on children and youth are prioritized. Although it is also possible to receive sponsorship for associations with activities for adults.
Criteria
Who can apply for sponsorship?
Non-profit groups and organizations can apply for sponsorship if they:
- Are active in Älmhult’s area.
- Offer unique activities not available in Älmhult’s local area.
- Are involved in sports, culture, community growth/integration, and/or outdoor activities.
- Make their activities open and accessible to many people.
- Encourage participation and interaction.
To be eligible for sponsorship, the association must:
- Have an organization number, elected board, and adopted bylaws. They must have an approved annual report, profit and loss statement, and auditor’s report.
- Share their latest annual report and financial statements with the application.
- Report back on how the sponsorship funds were used.
Conditions
Sponsorship is not granted to:
- Political groups/associations.
- Religious groups/associations.
- Companies or organizations primarily aiming to make a profit.
- Individual requests benefiting a single person.
- PR and marketing campaigns.
Conditions for receiving sponsorship:
- The association agrees to participate in one association day organized by IKEA in Älmhult within the following year.
- The association agrees to provide a summary/ evaluation by 8 October 2026, explaining how the financial support helped develop their activities.
- The association agrees to use the funds for the specified purpose.
- The association agrees not to use any IKEA logos, trademarks, or intellectual property without checking with IKEA in Älmhult.
- The association agrees not to sell or transfer the invoice for the financial support to another party.
- The association agrees to participate in any follow-up visits.
Application
Through our sponsorship, we aim to contribute to an active and inclusive community association sector in the local area. IKEA in Älmhult accepts applications during the autumn each year. If your application covers several areas, you are welcome to submit multiple forms.
Important dates for the 2026 sponsorship process
- Application period: 3 September to 8 October 2026
- Notification of approved applications: no later than 30 November 2026
- Follow up regarding last year’s sponsorship: no later than 8 October 2026
- Invoicing of approved funding: no later than 14 January 2027
Complete your application
After submitting the application form, you must also email your annual activity report and most recent annual report to community.engagement@inter.ikea.com. Applications will only be processed once all required documentation has been received.
