Älmhult Fights Cancer

Älmhult Fights Cancer is a charity race in Älmhult to raise money for cancer research. The race is organized by IKEA Älmhult AB together with other organizations and associations in Älmhult.

As cancer is something that can impact us all, whether directly or indirectly, we want to contribute as a community to this important cause. The race is open to everyone and we welcome volunteers and supporters, too. 

Along with raising all-important funds for vital cancer research, we also hope that this initiative will empower more people to live a healthy and active lifestyle. 

The registration fee goes in full to Fru Berta Kamprad’s Foundation. The foundation was founded by Ingvar Kamprad in 1986 and was named after his mother, who passed away from cancer at the age of 53.

The Foundation supports research and the fight against cancer by supporting cancer research conducted at the Department of Oncology at Skåne University Hospital, Region Skåne and at the Department of Oncology at the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University.

Registration will open by the end of January.

Älmhult Fights Cancer är ett välgörenhetslopp i Älmhult för att samla in pengar till cancerforskning. Loppet arrangeras av IKEA Älmhult AB tillsammans med andra organisationer och föreningar i Älmhult.

Kampen mot cancer är något som berör många människor, överallt i samhället. Tillsammans vill vi göra en insats för att bidra till den viktiga forskningen. Loppet är öppet för allmänheten och alla kan delta. Oavsätt om du går, springer, joggar eller strosar. Alla sätt är välkomna!

Förutom att hjälpa till att finansiera viktig cancerforskning hoppas vi även att initiativet kan inspirera fler till att leva ett aktivt och hälsosamt liv. Tillsammans gör vi det till en tradition!

Anmälningsavgiften går oavkortat till Fru Berta Kamprads Stiftelse. Stiftelsen grundades av Ingvar Kamprad 1986 och uppkallades efter hans mamma som gick bort i cancer endast 53 år gammal.

Stiftelsen stödjer forskning och bekämpning av cancersjukdomar genom att stödja den cancerforskning som bedrivs vid Onkologiska kliniken vid Skånes universitetssjukhus, Region Skåne samt vid avdelningen för onkologi vid Medicinska fakulteten, Lunds universitet.

Registrering öppnar i slutet av januari.
