Most people between 18 and 65 years old who are healthy and have at least 50 kilos can become blood donors. At the first visit, you fill in a health declaration, be interviewed and take various samples. You must show a swedish valid identity document to be able to donate.
Blood donation is absolutely essential for the functioning of modern healthcare. The need for blood is always greater than the supply and blood cannot be made artificially yet.
Everybody is welcome to donate! IKEA offers all co-workers the opportunity to give blood during paid working hours. Your input is vital to many people.
