Welcome to this theatre show from Riksteatern at Aktivitetshuset!

The journey towards the end of life and the beginning of everything.

On September 17, 2013, musician, journalist and author Kristian Gidlund dies at the age of only 29 from cancer. He leaves behind the blog In this body of mine, which during his last years of life became the existential breathing hole of millions of people. In Jani Lohikari’s dramatization and Johan Pau’s direction, we follow a man played by Razmus Nyström. With a burning urgency and a strong physical dynamic, he explores the meaning of life as well as death.

The music is specially composed for the performance and is performed live on stage by Mats Björke, Kristian’s childhood friend and former member of the acclaimed band Mando Diao. Kristian Gidlund’s words carry us through a journey at the end of life and help us to grasp an intense grip on the present.

“Maybe we only get the time allotted to us on earth. That’s why I see it even more clearly now: don’t work too much. Don’t let the emotions stay in your chest. Speak. Never argue about money. Dare to say no. Dare to say yes. Paradise can be a place on earth.” (Kristian Gidlund 1983 – 2013)

Resan mot livets slut och alltings början.

Den 17 september 2013 dör musikern, journalisten och författaren Kristian Gidlund endast 29 år gammal i cancer. Efter sig lämnar han bloggen I kroppen min som under hans sista år i livet blev miljoner människors existentiella andningshål. I Jani Lohikaris dramatisering och Johan Paus regi följer vi en man spelad av Razmus Nyström. Med en brinnande angelägenhet och en starkt fysisk dynamik utforskar han meningen med livet såväl som med döden.

Musiken är specialkomponerad för föreställningen och framförs live på scen av Mats Björke, Kristians barndomsvän och tidigare medlem i hyllade bandet Mando Diao. Kristian Gidlunds ord bär oss genom en resa i livets slutfas och hjälper oss att gripa ett intensivt tag om nuet.
